Neck Pain
Neck pain can make even simple movements feel uncomfortable — turning your head, working at a desk, or getting a good night’s sleep. At Palatine Family Chiropractic, we get to the root of your pain and help restore normal motion, reduce tension, and support lasting relief.
Relief for Stiff, Sore, or Achy Necks Starts Here
Neck pain often stems from issues like poor posture, misaligned vertebrae, muscle tightness, or nerve irritation. Chiropractic care focuses on restoring healthy alignment and mobility in the cervical spine — the part of your spine that supports your head and neck.
Rather than masking symptoms, we work to correct the underlying dysfunction causing your discomfort.

How It Works
We start with a detailed exam of your spine, posture, and range of motion. Depending on your case, we may use digital X-rays to get a clearer picture of your cervical alignment. Treatment may include gentle spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and posture-focused exercises — all designed to reduce pressure and restore proper movement in the neck.
Why It’s Effective
When the neck is out of alignment, it places stress on surrounding muscles, nerves, and joints. This can lead to pain, stiffness, and even headaches. Chiropractic care helps relieve that stress by restoring motion, improving balance, and supporting your body’s natural healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is neck cracking part of the adjustment?
Not always. We use a variety of techniques — including gentle, non-force methods — depending on your comfort level and what your body needs.
Is chiropractic care safe for neck pain?
Yes. It’s a safe and proven method for reducing neck pain and restoring motion. We’ll always take time to explain the process and make sure you’re comfortable with each step.
Can neck pain cause headaches?
Absolutely. Many headaches are actually caused by tension or misalignment in the upper cervical spine — a common issue we treat.
How quickly will I feel better?
Many patients notice relief within just a few visits. For chronic or severe cases, we’ll outline a personalized plan that supports long-term recovery.
